 I.     BLACK CHICKPEA/GRAM- A HEALTHY AND NUTRITIOUS BREAKFAST ESPECIALLY FOR TEENAGERS, YOUNGSTERS AND STRENUOUS WORKERS

This is one of the best natural medicines that helps to build inner strength. You just need 25 grams of black chickpea/gram (properly cleaned). Pick fresh and larger ones and throw out the broken grains. Soak the grains in 125 ml water in the evening. Eat the grains in the morning by chewing them properly just after the morning workout and drink the water (in which the grains were soaked) as it is or after adding 1-2 teaspoon of honey to it. It appears to be an ordinary remedy but it is very effective in building strength and vitality in your body.

TIPS

  • You can start with 25 grams of quantity and then gradually increase it to 50 grams. If you drink milk after eating the soaked grams, it increases your sperm count as well.
  • You will have a healthy living if you follow eating the soaked grain and drinking its water regularly after your morning workout.
  • Caution: One who has weak digestion or whose stomach gets upset after having black chickpea/gram, should avoid this remedy.
  • Sprouted beans more beneficial. It is very nutritious, helps in muscle building, and cures all skin diseases. This breakfast is rich in Vitamin C, helps in weight gain, improves and cleanses hemoglobin in the body, besides this, it also strengthens lungs, lowers cholesterol level in blood and is helpful in curing heart diseases. It is one of the best natural medicines for keeping person healthy and active.

HOW TO SPROUT

In morning, soak chickpeas/gram in a bowl full of water (water level should be 1 inch above the level of the grains. Tie the beans in a wet thick cloth and hang them in the night. Hanging these beans for almost 12 hours in the summer and 18 to 24 hours in the winter is sufficient. You will possibly see the sprouts popping out the second or the third day. Sprinkling water as required in the cloth is necessary for summers. Some people add crushed pepper, rock salt, some grated ginger and lime to make it taste better but it is more advantageous if you eat them plain.

 II.      FIGS AND MILK-A HEALTHY BREAKFAST ESPECIALLY FOR OLD/AGED PEOPLE

Eating two to three dried figs and having 250 ml of milk mixed with rock sugar (mishri) just after, is proven to be extremely invigorating breakfast. Have this breakfast for two to three weeks in a row.

TIPS

  • It cures constipation and blood disorders because figs regularize motions, cures bile duct disorders, blood-related diseases and also treats gas troubles. It is also beneficial in the complaints of fatigue, dizziness, depression. Figs help in blood formation, relieve mucus and improves complexion. Consumption of figs prevents secretion of mucus during asthma and bronchitis. Gandhi was very fond of figs because of its qualities.
  • People with teeth disorders are advised to first soak the figs in the water overnight before eating. The quantity of water should not be more than 1/3rd of glass for 2-3 figs. The figs will absorb the water and will look like fresh figs.
  • Eating 2-3 figs in the morning after soaking them for the whole night and then soaking two in the morning for eating them in the evening will treat all sorts of hemorrhoids. This remedy should be continued for at least one month.

ALTERNATIVE REMEDY

Take kernels of two walnuts, four almonds (both soaked in water overnight) and seven seedless munakke (Zante currant), eat them in the morning by chewing them properly or after grinding them and have 250 ml of milk containing rock sugar (mishri) just after. It increases mental and physical strength of old and aged persons. Following this remedy for continuous three months in winters bring back the passion and power in the old aged people.

TIP: If you have constipation, include 2-3 figs in this breakfast.

 III.     DRY COCONUT, (CHHUHARA) DRIED DATES, ROCK SUGAR (MISHRI)- A HEALTHY BREAKFAST FOR CHILDREN

Take one part of seedless chopped dried dates (chhuhara), two parts of chopped dry coconut and three parts of mishri (rock sugar), mix the three. This works as a healthy and simply delicious breakfast for children. Instead of giving toffees, chocolates and chewing gums to the children, give two tablespoons of this mixture for breakfast every day. Do not drink water immediately after the breakfast. This remedy will prevent tooth decay, tonsils, recurrent cold and indigestion. It is especially suitable in winters. It is one the best natural medicines for overall health of children.
